About this tutor

I am a certified teacher with a California teaching credential! Along with my bachelors and teaching credential, I am now in the process of getting my masters in education. I teach high school AVID and SAT prep to my 10th grade students. I have been a math tutor for 10 years and am qualified to teach through Algebra 2. I am currently teaching my own high school classes virtually and I am prepared to tutor virtually as well! I will also give extra work to your students via email and PDF outside of our direct tutoring time to help them improve their skills!

I love being a teacher and a tutor. I truly enjoy helping my students understand something new and work out the questions they may have. I am passionate about my profession and helping students reach their academic and personal goals.

My kid struggled so much in 4th grade math. Tears every night. Maxine worked with her for almost the whole year, and now my daughter is taking honors pre cal as a junior, and I haven't seen tears. Max gave her a leap forward.

Max is an incredible tutor in every way possible. She is extremely responsible and hard working. She goes above and beyond to make sure my child understands concepts and life skills for learning, such as organizational skills. Max is very good at presenting difficult concepts in a way my daughter can completely understand. She walks away from every session with a feeling of relief that she’s ready for class.

Hiring Maxine was a life changer for my kid. My child was not confident as a 4th grader in math, after working with Maxine she excelled. Today my daughter is a sophomore who ismaintaining an A in Algebra II.
