Children who struggle in reading and writing need that one teacher who can empower them to believe in themselves and equip them with the necessary skills to have academic success. I know the value of discovering each child's strength, and I know how to explicitly teach the effective strategies needed to grow a child’s reading and writing abilities
I am passionate about eradicating illiteracy! As a young child, I struggled with reading. It was the help of a caring and patient teacher that helped me to get back on track. Ms. Becca inspired me to become a teacher and help children just like me; and, that is exactly what I have been doing for over 20 years as a California Credentialed Literacy Teacher.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When you first contact me, I schedule a phone consultation so that I can learn more about your needs and how I can be of service.
My next step is to schedule a FREE : 30 minute Zoom Assessment so I can learn your child's strengths and struggles when it comes to their reading and writing skills.
If you decide to proceed, we will set up a trial lesson that you will pay for at the time of the meeting. I use Pay Pal for all business transactions.

My Zoom lessons are :50 minutes and I charge $35.
How did you get started teaching?
I have been in education for over 20 years, teaching reading and writing. After working as a broadcast journalist for a few years when I first graduated from college, I decided I wanted to work with the youth. Once I started my teaching credential program, I was hooked. I knew this was my true calling. Teaching students is my passion.
What types of students have you worked with?
Currently, I tutor students from 1st-12th grade.
