What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to try and get to know the student first so they are comfortable around me, this helps them be more eager to learn.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am only a high school student so I don't have any certifications, but I have taken AP courses such as World History, English Language and Composition, Biology, and Statistics and have received a 3 or higher on the AP exams. I also plan on taking AP English Literature and Composition as well as AP Calculus AB in my senior year. I have also taken a few classes at community colleges to further increases my knowledge.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I generally charge $25/hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching when I started volunteering at my sister's elementary school that is listed above.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked mainly with elementary school students but would be capable of teaching up to 9th grade.
