The Writer's Tutor
About
I am passionate about guiding students from wherever they are to where they wish to go or even deciding that along the way. I teach skills, critical and creative thinking and bring out the unique voices of students as well as honing in on strengths while developing crucial skills. I also make it enjoyable to learn and to work together rather than creating a stressful envirnonment. One does one's best work when one is relaxed and focused. My sister works in a similar way.
We are two sisters who have undergraduate and graduate degrees from Harvard University, Brown University, Princeton, Yale, CSU Northridge, London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
Working online in zoom is more effective than meeting in person and I will give you a free first 1/2 hour lesson to show you how it works. I have been able to truly help students meet and exceed their goals in an online environment where we are able to see the same documents, text, etc at the same time in real time.
My experience as founder is as a practicing CA credentials English and French teacher for almost 20 years, who also teaches AP. My younger sister, who I taught to read at age 3 or so, is a law professor as well.

We meet for 1/2 hour in a zoom room to get to know each other to see if it's a fit and to speak about goals. I also work with them to get to know how to work in zoom. I use a video and they may as well if they wish to do that.
Then we decide on a course of action if we wish to work together. Perhaps we start with a month at a time.
