Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I like to see the notes from class and any lesson plans the student has avaialble, so I can get a sense of what the class is like and what kind of student they are. Next, I will like to see the previous tests of the course to see what the teacher specifically tests, and the main ideas that come up in class. This way, I can know what strategies will make each student successful in each class!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I will soon to have a BA in both history and politial science, with a concentration in comparative politics.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is $60 per lesson. These typically last for an hour. Time adjustments can be made on a per-student basis.
How did you get started teaching?
In my time in undergrad, I spent much time tutoring high school students in a myriad of exams, including the AP World History, Human Geography, American History, Literature and Language tests. I also assisted in the SAT Subject test for world history, as well as the New York State Regents examination for English, Global History, and American History.
