FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

First, I like to assess the areas in which the student needs help. I have a diagnostic to rate their skills. Next, we design a program that will outlay the path towards the goal. Often times, we resolve the problem faster than anticipated.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

15 years experience working abroad, creating curriculim and rpograms to accelerate student achievement.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

For one to one, face to face the price is $45 per hour. For editing essays, the price is $30 per hour. Test prep ranges depending on the subject.

How did you get started teaching?

I started as a tutor in Deroit Michigan at the age of twelve. Once I saw that I could have a positive impact on the people around me through education, I just kept going. My mission is to help underpriveledged youth reach their goals in education and vocation.

What types of students have you worked with?

Business execs, managers, university students (undergrad and graduate levels), and elementary though high school, as well as private lessond for students looking to improve for social advancement.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

We recently celebrated Holloween, and are now about to celebrate Thanksgiving. Sharing food and culture to open the students mind about not only the language, but also the culture really motivates me. We become an extended family, and continue to grow and share, even after the goals have been reached.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Be open and honest about whatever you need. Rerlax and have an open mind. Pay careful attention to see if your needs are being met, and if not, do not hesitate to express it.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Why do I want to learn? What do I want to accomplish? Is ths a realistic goal? How much time do I have to complete this? Am I ready to take on the responsibility of learning? Does this make me happy?
