Manny Nunez Tutoring
About
My goal: to have students connect with math like they never felt they would. It is all about practice and persistence!
I love working with struggling students. I love working with students that are willing to put the effort outside of tutoring sessions. I love making a difference when grades are to where students want them to be. That is what makes sharing my knowledge all the worth while.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The beginning of our first session is the most important. I want to build a relationship with my student. I want to see what these students know. And from there, I will work with their weaknesses and build their strengths.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a math tutor since 2009. I have been a middle and high school Mathematics teacher since 2013. I graduated from Loyola Marymount University as a math major in 2009.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I can definitely negotiate. I will be very honest with you. I usually charge around $50 per hour, and I usually only recommend one hour per session around once or twice a week. I am not here to make money. I am here to make a difference.
How did you get started teaching?
I blame my father. He works at a private school in La Canada Flintridge. His fond of teaching rubbed off on me.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all kinds of students: low socio-economic, students who have gotten into top private schools, and everything in between. My goal is to make a difference as they move up to the next level.
