Education and Certifications: Bachelor of Arts, English, UCLA; Master of Arts, Teaching of English, Teachers College, Columbia University; New York State Professional Teaching Certificate, English Language Arts, Grades 7-12

I have been tutoring for over ten years, and I am passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals. I personalize instruction for each student and adapt lessons to each student's learning style. I was a composition and subject-specific tutor at UCLA and a tutor supervisor for composition tutors. In addition to my tutoring experience, I taught middle and high school English for the past five years, so I have deep content knowledge in reading, writing, and English literature.

I thoroughly enjoy helping students reach their academic goals. With each student, I set measurable, specific goals, so we can track progress over the course of our tutoring sessions. I adjust lessons to meet student needs and tailor my instruction to each individual student. There is nothing better than seeing a student grow as a reader and writer!
