About
I teach by creating individualized and fluid multi-sensory learning plans and using tools tailored to both the student and content at hand. I work by building on strengths, successes, and previous knowledge - which honors progress at the student's own pace and increases their motivation to learn - through trust-based leadership.
Supporting a student's learning is one of the greatest joys in my life. It is my passion to help a person overcome any obstacle or misperceptions they may have about their capabilities to learn and to empower them by handing them tools to break through the "ceiling" that has hindered the discovery and attainment of their dreams.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I speak with the parents by phone to get to know them, their tutoring goals, and their input on the student/s strengths and challenge areas. I also ask if there is any other key information regarding their student/s that would help make the first meeting a positive and comfortable one. Afterward, I introduce myself and share how I work as a tutor. Finally, I set up an initial appointment, either in person, by phone, or by zoom, as appropriate and mutually agreeable so that we can all meet. If it seems a good match to all, we talk about scheduling, strategies and material to reach the goals and questions the parents or student/s may have.
