Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We dive straight to the problems! After a few problems, I will immediately evaluate any strengths and weaknesses we can improve on.
Math takes a lot of practice so I encourage students to setup a consistent schedule (once or twice a week) to go over and do homework problems and test reviews. Cramming the day before a test never works and will be counter intuitive to your success.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a math tutor at the community college for the past 2 years and have tutored all levels of math up to calculus. Many students would describe our session as very positive and productive!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing ranges anywhere from $35-$50 per hour depending on my commute time.
