I have over 20 years of experience teaching high school English both in California and Texas. I have taught AP and Honors classes spanning all high school grade levels. I have also taught dual credit classes with the local college. I have a B.A. in English from UCLA and a Masters degree in Literature from National University. I have helped countless students over the years learn how to master the art of writing and hone their skills in reading.

I have the satisfaction of watching students have that "aha" moment when they realize how to master a paragraph, write a cohesive six page research paper, and conquer a Socratic Seminar. Watching my students learn how to master skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening is very satisfying. There is real gratification in helping students master skills, especially those who did not know they had it in them. All students have the ability to improve their skills in reading and writing; some just need some guidance in how. That is what I look to provide for them.
