Defeating Distances Tutoring
About
We help students struggling in school right now due to the effects of COVID-19. Whether your student is participating in online school, distance learning, split-schedule or adjusting to being back at school full-time with new regulations... we will help fill the gaps in your child's education by offering them tutoring, pre-grading, and supplemental learning.
With three children of my own, I know first hand of the struggle they all have faced this year and last due to this pandemic. I have watched their grades slip, their teachers change from month to month, their friends fade away and it has been difficult, but as a future elementary school teacher and a parent we have found a way to push through and thrive. In thriving as a family, I have reached out and begun to help other families struggling through the same types of problems.
To keep our children safe, we offer help online, over the phone, and in person. We can tutor children in areas where they are struggling or might be falling behing, help with homework assignments, pre-grading, and much much more.
With a bachelor's degree in interior design, associates degree's in history and english and experience as a mother, tutor and teacher, our team has been carefully selected to help your students in every aspect of their education. We have the experience, eagerness, and determination to help your children succeed.
Our website is under development and will be linked soon.
I enjoy working with children and helping them reach their full potential. Watching a student get from a point where they are struggling with a subject or assignment to then being excited about learning and showing off their grades and being proud of themselves is the best part about what I do.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find one who are comfortable talking to and asking questions with! You should never be embarrassed or affraid to share what you might not know, and always know that when a teacher or tutor helps you, they aren't telling you that you are doing something wrong or stupid, but rather showing you how to be your best, which is really all we want for you.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
There is no limit to the questions students should think to ask their teachers! The goal is for each student to feel comfortable enough to ask their teachers anything.
