About
I’ve been passionate about English my entire life, and am currently pursuing my degree in it. I have worked as a tutor at Oakland High School through Upward Bound, a program helping at risk teens prepare for college and improve their grades. In the last year, I was also on the official committee for WordSpring, the largest creative writing conference in Northern California. I write a pretty good essay, and am confident that I can help with any troubles one might be having grasping concepts or form.
I love sharing my passion for this subject- to see others feel excited and confident in such a vital part of education gives me a real sense of fulfillment.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Firstly, I ask to read a students past work to get a feel for their voice and their level of writing. After this, I address any concepts about the material they may not be grasping, and aid them onto a path where they can use their own critical thinking to find conclusions. This step can often be the largest barrier to those who struggle with this subject. Once this step is over comes the organization of the essay, and logical flow. Next, we edit any typos or phrases that inhibit the thesis, and fix grammar errors. However, every student is different and requires a special approach.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
