I have been teaching for 6 years in elementary education, before that I worked at tutoring centers for about 4 years. I have worked with students of all ages and in many different subjects. I love helping my students acheive the best that they can. I have my California Teaching Credential, and a Master's Degree in Educational Technology.
I have worked extensively with students with special needs and having training in how to work with gifted learners as well as more typical students. I not only love to teach, I consider myself to be a life- long learner!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically I will contact the family or students, and hear what subject or subject areas are a higher priority, or if it is just for homework help. I have many different activities I can use, and then if we both think it's a good fit schedule a first session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a 5th grade teacher in the Los Angeles area. I have been teaching in elementary school for 6 years and prior to that worked at learning centers and a private school. I have my California teaching credential and a Master's Degree in educational technology.
