About
My goal for every student is to help them become familiar with their strengths and use that to propel them forward in various subjects. Everyone has the ability to succeed. Sometimes all it takes is some encouragement and giving the student a little more time to soak in the material.
I started tutoring at California Baptist University. My clients range from Kindergarten to Master's students. I have also worked with students who have disabilities.
I am in my senior year of studying Psychology at California Baptist University and have achieved the Dean's List.
I love seeing my students succeed once they tap into their strengths and start understanding their course material.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
During the first 5-10 minutes of the session, areas in which the student struggles are assessed.
Questions may look like:
1. What subject are you currently struggling with in school?
2. What do you like most about this subject?
3. What do you like least about this subject?
4. Where do you experience the most challenges in this subject? (notes, homework, quizzes, tests, etc.)
5. How do you take notes for this course?
After the assessment, I make sure that my students review methodology of good skills to have inside and outside the classroom. "Mini tests" are given during this process to ensure that the student fully understands these methods.
