I have a Bachelor's Degree from UC Berkeley. I have been working with students since 1998.

I am comfortable in a variety of subjects and have experience working with students of varying ages, including students with special needs. Math and Spanish are of highest interest, but I am open to various other subjects as well. I provide virtual tutoring via Zoom. I enjoy helping others and teaching new skills.

I work with students two to four times a week, Monday through Thursday. I am also open to an additional weekend session on an as-needed basis. I am especially interested in working with students for the entire school year.

I highly recommend Flora as a tutor. She worked with my two high school children in Math and Spanish. My children were able to better understand the material and brought their grades up from Ds & Cs to Bs & As. She was patient, knowledgeable, and my children felt the tutoring sessions were very helpful. Flora also kept me updated regularly on assignment completion and any studying/work needing to take place between sessions. I am very please with Flora as a tutor!

Flora is an exceptional tutor. She is not only patient and understanding but strives to meet my child where he is at and help him reach his potential through personalized instruction. My son feels very comfortable with Flora and looks forward to their sessions. He has increased confidence in answering questions knowing that it is okay whether his answer is right or wrong. I highly recommend Flora as tutor. She helped me improve my math grades and build confidence in my Algebra and Geometry skills during high school. She was available for short or long study periods. We would talk through individual problems where I had got stuck and it helped me pick up on information that I had overlooked. Sometimes we went back through the book chapter to find out which equations were appropriate for the problem that I was working on.

Flora was always very patient and that helped me feel at ease as we worked through my homework or studied for a test. With Floras tutoring, my confidence grew and I learned to enjoy math =)
