What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin with a conversation with student and parent(s).
i want to know what student does well and what he/she
wants help with, and if available a copy of any and all test scores and a copy of report card grades.

How did you get started teaching?
i began my teaching career in 1875 working with middle school
students with cognitive disabilities.
i worked in CHICAGO PUBLIC SCHOOLS from 1975 - 2007 when I gracefully retired after 33 years of teaching.
What types of students have you worked with?
i have worked with all age students from pre kindergarten through freshman in high school.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone you like and someone you trust.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
why do I need a tutor?
