I have tutored 2 students that I no longer see because tutoring is no longer needed. One was a 10-year-old in 4th-5th grade, the other was a 15-year-old freshman in need of Spanish & math help. I am in honors/AP courses and I have always been that person that people send their essays to for proofreading. I am currently in 11th grade and I have been tutoring for just over a year. I am located in Bakersfield, CA.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I can assess the thought process and learning techniques and proceed as I see fit or devise a productive learning stradegy for your desired improvements.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently enrolled in honors/AP classes. I am in the 11th grade and I have obtained extraordinary test scores in all areas. I have been in higher, faster-paced classes since they were available.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing can be anywhere from $20-$50 an hour depending on the needs of the student. Most sessions will be an hour long unless there is a request for a special schedule.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching a kid I grew up with, I used to babysit him. He was struggling to keep up in class and was in need of a new strategy to obtain information and effectively learn.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students grade 4-9. I have worked with teenagers and children, including special needs children.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
One of the most important things to pay attention to when selecting a tutor is the connection between the learner and teacher. It is a much smoother and more positive experience when both parties are comfortable with each other and they can trust that they both have good intentions.
