Wendy Wang's Tutoring
About
I try to help students improve on their mistakes after practicing problems I made for them. After, I would make a cheat sheet for my students to study and use before tests in order to prevent them from making the same common mistakes. I would also try to help give tips and tricks during my lesson that helped other students and myself learn difficult problems.
I love tutoring and helping students gradually improve because it gives me joy when a student's face brightens up after figuring out a difficult problem. It makes me happy when I see my students return with a better grade than before or a better understanding of the lesson in the next session.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
1. During the first tutoring session, I like to set aside 5 minutes where I can understand the student's goals in the class and problems the student often face
2. Throughout the session, I help with what the student needs help with the most. This can include reviewing the lesson the student was taught or going over the student's last practice test/quiz
3. After, I provide practice problems for the student to do or I help the student with homework problems the student is struggling with
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages, from kindergarten to 11th-grade students. When I volunteered in an afterschool, I helped students with disabilities such as ADHD and autism.
