I first start with going through a current or past assignment with the student. This allows me to understand some of their strengths and weaknesses. While doing so, I am able to get a better grasp on the student's learning style and how to best work and teach them!

Each student is very unique! From the way they learn and figure problems out, to the small passions and things that excite them. It is important to learn more about your student than just the material that is on their homework sheet. This will allow for a deeper level of trust and more advanced learning!
