I am a teacher who loves to help students make connections and develope understanding in math. In my 11 years of teaching, I have taught many different subjectes, but my passion is math. I have taught students from 5th grade to 8th grade and tutoring students from 4th grade 10th grade.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student, I like to ask them questions about what they are currently working on in class. If I notice that students are needing to work on basic skills, I will incoorporate instruction in those areas into what they are currently needing assistance on.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I currently hold a teaching certificate in Florida and Arizona, qualifying me to teach middle grades math. I have a Bachelor's Degree from Florida State Universtiy and a Mathser's Degree from the University of West Florida.

How did you get started teaching?
I decided to go into teaching after working in my mother's classroom. Having students understand something that I explained to them, made such an impact on me that I wanted to help more students.
What types of students have you worked with?
Most of my career I have worked with students from 5th grade to 8th grade. For 7 of my 11 years of teaching I have taught students with learning disabilities.
