As former educators we strive to help each student achieve his or her personal best. Personally, I taught high school for over 24 years and led many students to state championships in their written projects. Currently, among other things, I edit papers from secondary school to dissertations. I also edit books and enjoy ghostwriting as well.
I really enjoy working one-on-one with a student. This allows them to get my undivided attention. It also gives me the opportunity to observe a student and catch anything that distracts them from understanding a concept and be able to correct it without making the student feel embarrassed by the presence of his/her peers. My greatest joy is seeing a student move from point A to point B

She gave me one in one English classes. Was very excellent, they helped me a lot, because I had a lot of difficulties in communicating. During classes I even had an online interview and I came out very well . Thanks to Dra. Lindie
High level of rigor and professionalism. Excellent leader and educator, with a good degree of humanism
After discussing how the student's day is going, I ask a question about what we challenges the student has and what successes they have had. This helps us structure the learning and create some benchmarks. Then we get started with one step at a time and constantly checking how the student is feeling. I like to end with a product that we can both appreciate. I find that students appreciate having some type of product at the end of each session.
I hold a Ph.D. in Professional Studies in Education; I also hold an Arizona teaching certificate for secondary education and another for community college. The last 10 years of my teaching career, I worked with students one-on-one and in small groups in an alternative program that I ran as part of a credit-recovery program. After I retired from 24 years of K-12 teaching, I started my online academy which uses the same alternative education concepts to help students succeed. Besides tutoring, I edit, write and ghostwrite.
My lessons are priced at $30 per hour for K-12 during the regular school year, and $40 per hour during final exams and rush work.
After working a few years in the corporate world, I decided to teach because I felt that my contribution would have a greater impact in the classroom than in the boardroom.
I have worked with honors students, academically challenged students, English As A Second Language Learners and Special Education Students.
Student X was having trouble writing an essay. She was preparing for an exam and she told me that the major part of her exam was an essay. We started practicing the inverted triangle for the introduction, three rectangles for the supporting paragraphs and the triangle for the conclusion. Over a period of five days, Student X would pick a topic, with my help, write an essay and email it to me. She aced the essay and her grade on the exam improved greatly. I was happy to celebrate with her and her family. More importantly, she felt so confident in her new skill that she started sharing it with her classmates and her teacher was very impressed.
