What I enjoy most about education is watching a childs growth in academics. All students learn at a different pace. Children will grow once they feel liked and are confident in the person teaching them.

I have been in the teaching profession for 23 years and have worked in the Valley of the Sun during that time. I am now retired and looking for students that I can continue to assist with their reading and writing education. I have a master's degree in English Education and Gifted Students. A majority of my educational years were spent in 6th to 8th grade. I would love the opportunity to assist more students to achieve their goals.

Over the five years that I've taught children, I have found that children who struggle tend to think learning is only hard work. Using games and activities to ignite their natural curiosity, over time, they discover that learning can actually be fun! I find immense satisfaction as students gain skills they didn't have before and build upon the natural talents they already have -- especially when they notice the difference in themselves.
