Shan Tutoring
About
I'm a college student studying at Barret, the Honors College at ASU and went to middle/highschool at BASIS Phoenix. Since I'm still in school and a student myself, I know first hand what kids need to hear in order to learn their material. I'm majoring in Psychology and Neuroscience, and have had the benefit of learning how kids understand best and techniques to teach them well while still running a fun and fulfilling session. I will give every student the attention they need and am willing to go beyond the required hours free of charge if needed. I have previous experience working as a tutor in both Sylvan and Kumon while also being a TA in college .
I love knowing that I've made a difference in student's confidence in themselves and their abilities. I believe comprehending a topic is incredibly empowering for students and once they do that they gain the skills and self esteem to move forward in more difficult topics.
