Hello! My name is Jordan and I am a lover of all things education! I currently work at a university in their finance department, but I have my degree in Elementary education and taught 3rd grade the past two years, and then student taught in first grade. I have experience in all grades k-8 and I am passionate about education and teaching! I have wanted to teach since I was a little girl. I want to use my passion and my expertise in teaching students concepts in ways that are fun and help them learn individually through tutoring!! I hope to be a good addition to your child's learning and become a part of their academic success!!!
I enjoy the moment when students begin to find confidence in themselves. It is amazing to know you turned back on the light inside them that was dimmed because they didn’t understand something.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I establish trust with the student on a personal and academic basis so that they are comfortable with me assisting them, and open to asking questions and being vulnerable when they don’t understand. Then we dig deeper into the needs of the individual student, how they learn, and then we begin to grow in their confidence and growth!!!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my bachelors degree in elementary education with an emphasis in English as a second language and have taught for 3 years! I love working with student and watching them glow when they finally understand something. I utilized tutoring in the past so I know how it is to be the student and I want to be the tutor that I needed when I was struggling.
