What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to gauge where the students are at within the their given curriculum and where they are having trouble. Once I find that out I like to make sure the fundamentals are there to ensure success with the task at hand.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been a certified professional math tutor since 2019 working with the Upward Bound program at Gateway Community College.
I received an A.S. from Rio Salado College. I also received a B.Sc. in Comping and Information Systems from the University of London. I am currently in the process of completing a B.S in Mathematics and B.A. in Philosophy at Arizona State University.
How did you get started teaching?
I've always had the teaching/tutoring spirit I guess you could say.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would find out if they are actually passionate about what they are teaching.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
The main question would be what problems do they not like. This usually means the information needed to solve the problem easily is lacking.
