About

People want success. People want to seem smart. People want to avoid doing more work than necessary. These desires guarantee people to lack the effort and discipline needed to learn, understand, and comprehend the nature of the world. Beneath the glories and praise typically associated with success and intelligence lies mounds of mistakes, countless trials amounted to failures, and feelings of frustration and of dimming hope. People don't want to work, yet people want to seem smart and people want to live a full life and achieve success. It's the undisputed contradiction that persists in life. However, it is also in the nature of people to accomplish and push beyond acceptance. An individual must have the drive and will to work and push beyond the fears of failure. Individuals who embrace their failures and are willing to change their accepted surroundings are those who learn. Learning is the essential component to attaining knowledge and intelligence. It is possible to lie and be perceived as smart. It is not possible to lie and embody knowledge. I want to help, I want people to understand, I want people to help each other and achieve something great. I've made my mistakes, I've experienced my hardships, and I've made my failures. I haven't lost my hope. My hope has allowed me to push through my struggles and dark times, it has allowed me to experience a truer understanding of the world I live in. If there is one thing I believe I can accomplish, it is inspiring some sliver or glimmer of hope in people. I want to work with people willing to embrace who they are and have some sight of what they want to be. A person who has the effort and tenacity to become a better person than she or he may already be is a person willing to succeed and willing to endure the ugly truths of knowledge. Be willing to understand and embrace mistakes, and I'll be willing to learn from you.

I enjoy the satisfaction a person achieves when they have finally understood a concept using their knowledge. I have been in the same position as many clients. I have been frustrated, stressed, and felt hopeless by many problems. I have then become hopefull, accomplished, and extremely satisfied when I finally solved these problems by getting help from my peers and incorporated their advice and knowledge into my own. Their is nothing better than the satisfaction of overcoming an obstacle, and this is what I strive to do for my clients.

Frequently asked questions

My process working with a student is to first understand what they need, whether that be help, advice, or guidance. Once a student has presented the issues they are facing, I will assist them in solving the issue by creating a dialouge. Many problems can be solved and overcome by talking through it and rationalizing the proper steps. This technique has benefited my clients to suceed in their goals.

I graduated suma cum laude with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. I have taken math classes including: basic arithmetic, Algebra I & II, Trigonometry, Calculus I & II ,Vector Calculus, Linear Agebra, and Differential Equations. I have helped tutor my friends and colleagues in these subjects as well.

My base rate of tutoring is $17.50 an hour.

I began teaching once I noticed that my friends and colleagues were struggling with subjects that I understood very well. I have been through the frustrations of learning new concepts and understand what it takes to understand them. I wanted to help guide my friends accomplish their goals, which is why I began to tutor and teach.

I have worked primarily with college students studying basical Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus I and II. These students have different personal backgrounds and learning styles which I grew to understand and then used to help them overcome their learning struggles.

Any event where I can talk to someone and engage them in a meaningful conversation and dialouge is something I always find joy and meaning in. My girlfriend of two years decided to play a simple game of truth or dare recently. What started out as a simple child's game evolved into a deep discussion of what we value and discovering how we have changed through the years. Sometimes the simplest events change your perspective for the better, which I deeply value.

Look for a teacher who is willing to engage you beyond the subject you are learning. Look for someone who can engage your interests and help inspire you to achieve your goals. A teacher should not hold your hand through difficult times, rather the teacher should know the right time to push you so you are able to overcome an obstacle with your own ability.

A student must understand each aspect of the problem they are trying to solve. The answer "I don't know" is an unfinished statement. The student must understand what the problem is actually asked and know what it is that they do not actually know. Once a student has identified what they do not know, then they should seek consulting from their teacher and explain what exactly it is they are struggling with. From this, solving the problem is only a matter of time.
