What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I pre-assess each student and then have a coversation to discuss their immediate needs for math. I make the math fun, challenging and rewarding.

I have taught math for over 10 years and have a math endorsement certificate for grades 1 thru 9.

How did you get started teaching?
I start with a conversation with the parent and then a conversation with the student. I like to see any current work that is available from their current class. This allows me to see the students level of competency and allows me to create a starting point to help the student.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from grades 3 thru 9th. I currently tutor 31 students after school on Mondays and thursdays for middle school math.
