## About

Students choose exactly what they want to work on, whether that is homework, test preparation, or a review of challenging concepts covered in class. At the end of the lesson, the student will be emailed a PDF of the lesson notes and a link to the screen recording, offering a helpful review that can be replayed any time.

Regular tutoring not only provides improvement in undersranding and grade but also builds confidence. Allow me to be your learning guide. I truly love what I do and will do everything I can to help you better understand math.

## Frequently asked questions

### What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Students choose exactly what they want to work on during the lesson, whether that is homework, test preparation, or a review of challenging concepts covered in class.

### What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Graduating from the University of Arizona with an Engineering degree in 2006, I spent the next decade in the engineering field at several area firms. During this time, I discovered my true passion…teaching math. Through first-hand experience, I discovered that every student can succeed with timely and smart instruction. Over the course of 15 years, I have evolved into the ultimate math-learning guide.

### Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

$37.50 per hour

### How did you get started teaching?

I have always enjoyed helping others. The best teachers have the best knowledge of the subect, but more importantly an awareness of how to connect with the student to help them learn.

### What types of students have you worked with?

I have helped students from ages 5 to 65 from basic math all the way up through graduate classes. The typical student is high school or college age, but I also often work with retuning students to college.

### Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Earlier this school year, a parent contacted me about his son who was desperately in need of improving his standardized tests score in math. The student is a future college student-athlete and had a number of scholarships offers available but needed higher test scores. Based on research, getting lessons two times a week yields the best results on average over the long-term, and this is exactly the recipe that this student followed. In the last few weeks, he took the same standardized test one more time and received his highest scores, not just in math but also in the other content areas.
