I taught high school math with the Phoenix Union High School district for 25 years, including Geometry, Algebra 1&2, Common Core Algebra, Statistics and Pre-Calc. I have a B.A. in Math Education from A.S.U. and a Masters from the University of Phoenix. I'm certified with the AZ state board of Education for grades 9-12.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
You ask questions, and I answer them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taught both in the classroom at many levels of math, but also have tutored privately and have worked as a math tutor for PUHSD.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Standard pricing is $30 for one hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I decided to start teaching high school because I was always interested in Math and Science.
What types of students have you worked with?
Mainly I have taught teens from the Phoenix area, but I've also had many students from places like India and Africa.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a tutor in your area of expertise?
For some kids, math takes a while to 'sink in', so try to not get angry or frustrated when it doesn't instantly make sense.
