About
Hello, My name is Mr. Ampha. I am a state certified and highly qualified teacher with a passion for learning and helping my stdents succeed and achieve their learning goals.
I have over 20 years experience working as an educator for both charter and public schools here in my home state of Arizona. I hold professional certificates in K-8 education and SEI (structured english immersion.)
Over the years, I have continued to grow and improve as an educator by taking over 20 hours in graduate level courses. I have contributed to and recived many certificates and awards of accomplishment including: grade level team of the year, highest student gains, and school of the year.
I personally feel that my biggest accomplishments in my career are helping my students grow and reach their learning goals for success, and to have some fun along the way! Thank you for your time.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When meeting some one new I like to spend some time getting to know a little bit about them. I would like to know something about their likes and dislikes and what motivates them, and gets them excited about their day. Of course we will need spend some time talking about their challenges and what needs to be improved so they can reach their goals I also feel that is important to talk about successes they have had, and what they feel are their strengths.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended college and graduted from Northern Arizona University. I currently hold a certficate in Elementary Education for grades K-8.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard rate is $50 dollars per hour and $25 dollars per half-hour with a half-hour minimum.
How did you get started teaching?
I started to become interested in teaching while attending Northern Arizona University. Some of my proffessors had suggeted it to me as a possible career choice. and as it turned out. They were right. I really am thankful to them for giving me the inspiration, and putting the idea of becoming a teacher in my head.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with the full spectrum, and a wide range of students with variouse tallents and abilities. I have experience working with students from general education to gifted. I have also worked with challenged students that need extra support and assistance in order to reach their accademic and personal goals.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently attended a musical theater event that featured many students that I had recently taught. They were all so talented and amazing up there on the stage! It was wonderful to see those students performing and shining. I am so proud of them.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone comfortable that you really connect with and then give them a chance to get to know you. Let your them know what your needs are, and be honest and hard workig. Remember, if you try your best, everything will work out fine!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
In order to improve it is important to think about any challenges you are facing with your learning, Always be as specific as you can with you teacher about the troubles or difficulties you are having.
