I graduated from high school in the top 10% of my class with all AP/ Honors Classes. I participated in Orchestra (3 years with regionals one year), Choir (4 years with regionals two years and all-state one year), Choir Council, NHS (3-4 yrs), Chess Club (1 yr), Dance (1 yr), two School Musicals, and various church activities. Since my elementary school years I was always placed in gifted/ honors/ advanced placement classes. At the end of my high school years, I earned a 32 cumulative ACT score and received scholarship offers from BYU Hawaii and ASU. I would consider myself a high achiever, hard worker, and self-motivated learner. I have tutored through NHS for over two years in math especially. In Tri-M music honors society I also tutored violin from elementary through high school level.
I love working with peers and helping them find joy in the struggle. Learning any new subject can be tough at first, but engaging in the struggle to understand- even bit by bit- has long term benefits and rewards!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will contact you about setting up a schedule for tutoring. We will decide on days/ times that would work best for the both of us so we are on the same page.
First, send in all assignments that you would like me to cover prior to the meeting.
I will work through the problems myself (during my own time) and create a personalized, flexible lesson plan that enables the student to find the answer(s) him/ herself.
Next, during the previously discussed time, I will create an online room via Zoom for us to discuss the questions. I will walk you through as many ways as needed to find the correct answer. I will address any questions you may have as soon as they arise.
Towards the end, I will have you work out a couple problems on your own while I supervise. I will correct any mistakes you may have overlooked and provide you any tools to use in order for you to succeed.
