I was struggling with written communications and Ms. Kay really helped me improve. Not only improve on how well I wrote my materials, but she helped give me confidence to do it too! Thank you Ms. Kay!

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Welcome! To get started, we'll spend a few minutes getting to know each other and most importantly, find out what your learning goals are and what methods do you find are most advantageous to your learning.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

My experience in education and training is vast, having taught all ages ranging from pre-school to adult, including training military forces.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Standard pricing normally applies, and discounts may be offered dependent upon the depth and scope of your learning goals.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have tutored children of all ages as well as young adults and experienced business professionals.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

There are two factors of learning, which are key to ensuring it sticks. First, you should enjoy the learning itself. If it becomes a chore, then you won't gain the most of it. And two, seek out courses and tutoring that is fun and engaging.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Think about your over all goal. What does your "finish line" look like? Compare your time lines too. That is, compare how soon you expect to complete your learning vs how much time you're truly willing to commit to it. Once you have finished your learning, what do you hope to do with it? What opportunities exist to continue your education in that field or topic of study? Learning opens up your future. What do you see your future holding?
