There are two factors of learning, which are key to ensuring it sticks. First, you should enjoy the learning itself. If it becomes a chore, then you won't gain the most of it. And two, seek out courses and tutoring that is fun and engaging.
Think about your over all goal. What does your "finish line" look like? Compare your time lines too. That is, compare how soon you expect to complete your learning vs how much time you're truly willing to commit to it. Once you have finished your learning, what do you hope to do with it?
