Ellyse's Tutoring Services

My experience in the education field began working as an instructional assistant for an elementary school. During covid, I taught individual and small group lessons virtually to students K-2nd. Then I began substitute teaching. I taught grades K-5th and accepted long term positions for K-1st and for a special education resource classroom. These positions lasted 2-4 months. I got to lesson plan, shadow teachers, build student relationships, and practice teaching skills. I also worked for a before and after school program (K-5th), at an emotional support camp (ages 10-16), and as a nanny (ages 0-11). I received a TEFL Certification to teach English as a foreign language. I am working towards my bachelor's in elementary education and also have experience teaching students with dyslexia. These unique experiences showed me the need for tutors and teachers outside the classroom. My goal is to offer my experiences and knowledge to help all children grow and feel confident when learning!
