Nicole Stripling Math Tutoring
About
While obtaining my degree in mathematics, I worked as the Lead Mathematics Tutor at my university's Student Success Center for two years. I'm going to graduate school in the fall to study how to teach math in a way that everybody can understand.
As a tutor, I am able to explain difficult math concepts in a way that is easy for students to understand. I f my students are unable to understand a concept one way, we'll try another. I use lots of analogies and try to connect conecpts to the real world whenever possible. I'm very patient and will work with students for as long as needed so that they completely understand concepts and are totally comfortable with computations.
I love interacting with my students helping to fill in any gaps in understanding. Math is really fun once you understand it, and it is my favorite thing to get students to the point where they can see how cool math really is. My goal is always to get my students to enjoy mathematics and appreciate what you can do with the right mathematical skills.
