About

Hi everyone! My name is Ashlyn, and I am here because I have a strong passion for math. I am currently a Junior in college, and still withhold the same love for math that I have had since the 2nd grade. I graduated 3rd in my class in High School, and I tested so high on my math entrance exam for college that I was only required to take one math course to get a Bachelor's degree. I am willing to tutor online, over the phone or in person. I will be flexible with how your student learns best.

Frequently asked questions

When working with a new student I would first like to see how they learn best, whether this is giving them example that they can go off of, making it a more hands-on approach or finding them videos that explain. I work around the student specifically.

I am a Junior at a university, and I have always had a love for math. I am currently only one year away from graduating with a Bachelor's in Business Administration, but my second choice of a major was going to be a math teach. Although I chose business as my career, I still want to encorprate math into my life. I have been a teacher's aide for 3 years, and I am currently a college algebra tutor for university students.

I charge $30 per hour of tutoring.

I had been a teacher's aide for 3 years and absolutely fell in love with helping students. I continue to help students (in all subjects) at all ages from 3rd Grade to Sophomore in college.

I have worked with students of all ages. Throughout high school I helped in a class with pre-schoolers, 3rd graders, 5th graders, 7th graders and even freshman-seniors in high school. I am now currently only helping college students but would love to help students of all ages.

Recently I was helping a non-traditional student at my university with a math problem. It was something that I found so simple, but it was difficult to get the point across to the student, as they have trouble retaining information. Therfore, I helped create a unique way for them to remember a formula. The next day, they went to class knowing how to do the lesson, did an example in front of the class, and received bonus points for it. Math can rely strictly on a person's confidence level, and I was able to help them find it.

Find someone who is able to direct their lessons around you specifiically.
