About
Hello there! I'm a Word person, and I love to discuss, write, and teach writing for school, work, or pleasure. I have enjoyed thirty years of success as a writer, avid reader, and writing professor. I will meet with you in my quiet digital office in the Little Rock area. What do you want to write? What help would you like? Let's get started. I hope to hear from you.
I like hearing voices and making them come alive in essays, stories, job applications, letters, and emails. I am especially happy to work with active duty service members or veterans of any age, branch, or academic experience.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I enjoy getting to know my students and letting them tell me what kind of writing they like to do. Why do they want to work with a tutor? What kind of help do they feel they need? What will success look like? How much time will it take for the student to reach the finish line? I will start where the student is and with the goal in mind.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have thirty years of professional teaching experience, mostly in higher education, and more recently as an online tutor and manuscript editor. I have earned a Ph.D. in philosophy and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing. I can help students with English papers, business proposals, short fiction, drama, and poetry writing, as well as written correspondence. I'll do my best for you!
