Rachel has been an exceptional example of how to calm a child for whom reading had become a source of great stress and anxiety and help them to approach reading without fear of failure or reprimand, and to actually enjoy and look forward to the lessons. By creating this safe place Rachel has brought out the best in my child and reading became associated with fun and the satisfaction of success.

Rachel gave English lessons to my two primary school daughters. She has a lovely, engaging way with children and makes learning fun. They couldnt wait for the next lesson to arrive and have over the period of two years formed a beautiful, strong bond with Rachel.

Our son Noah was really struggling to read but loved composing stories. After having a weekly lesson with Rachel over a few months, where his stories were nurtured and encouraged, he is now doing very well, voluntarily reading words he has not seen before and enjoying doing so. We are really happy with his progress. Thank you Rachel for playing such an important role both in your patience and love with him, nurturing his own appreciation of himself by valueing who he is. You gave him the confidence that he needed, as well as teaching him useful tools with which he could successfully navigate through the daunting world of words.
