About
I love tutoring and teaching people math. There's nothing more satisfying than making difficult concepts finally click with a student. You won't find a tutor with more enthusiasm and skill at getting to the heart of a misunderstanding in applied math, whether it's in geometry, calculus, trigonometry, linear algebra, differential equations, etc.
I completed my my Honours BSc double major in applied math and theoretical physics at Univeristy of Toronto and University of Western, recently graduating as of June 2021.
I've been tutoring math for 4 years now. I have helped dozens of students increase their marks in math courses by 15-20%.
My favourite thing about teaching math is helping people turn what is generally thought of as a "difficult" subject, into something systematic that can be easily understood, and then played with. Math doesn't have to be brutally difficult, and often our negative perceptions around math inhibit the development of our abilities. I believe anyone can be great at math, with the right training.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process is to start to get to know the student and figure out how the student learns best. I then move to talking about trouble spots in the respective areas of math that they want help in. I then work through specific problems with them to help them better understand the content. If necessary, I provide a mini-lecture/conceptual explanation to make sure all the math "makes sense". Having a solid foundational intuition for mathematics makes it a lot easier to problem-solve, and thus get answers right!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an Honours BSc in applied math and theoretical physics from UWO/U of T.
I have 4 years of experience as a tutor, both online and in person.
