Tutoring With Fun!!
About
I am a passionate, spunky, positive, and encouraging person! I love watching and helping people grow and learn new things! I will be your biggest fan and cheerleader! I will teach, check for understanding, and train you to be an independent learner! Besides homeschooling my own small children, this will be my first time tutoring officially! My past experience includes teaching young children with autism.
I enjoy seeing others grasp new concepts, new skills and develop self-confidence in their own ability to learn! Teaching is a rewarding experience for me! Having previously been a homeschooling mom, I have a heart for teaching at home one-on-one and meeting each individual student where they are at. I will tailor your tutoring to your learning style, your skill set, your grade level, and your personality.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Collect background information on their knowledge of the subject and discover their learning style. Develop rapport through conversation, humor and/or playing games. Then, dive into studying!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I homeschooled my children for 3 years. I recently went through RBT (registered behavior technician) training and taught children with autism, one-on-one in their home setting.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$25/hour
How did you get started teaching?
I got started homeschooling my 3 small children because I wanted them to have a high quality education that involved plenty of one-on-one attention for their learning. I have a passion for helping people develop and maintain a love of learning. It is this love of learning that will carry you the distance through college.
What types of students have you worked with?
My children (ages 8 and under) preschool, young elementary age, children with autism.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Watching my first grader in a school music performance. Seeing him up there with all his classmates made my heart feel warm and happy. Children are so innocent and that is what makes them so beautiful. I am proud of my son, just like I am proud of my students!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone experienced, educated, and knowledgeable. Pick someone who enjoys both learning and teaching. You want a bright, positive, motivating influence in your education, rather than someone negative and critical of you and your efforts.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Is this person someone who can help me? Is this someone I can trust? Do they have expertise in the subject I need to be tutored in?
