Miss Shelly's Tutoring

I am a retired teacher. I taught elementary school for 29 years. I taught mostly kindergarten, first and second grade. If I counted how many students I had in my lifetime, it would probably be about 800. That is a lot of children! I hope I made a positive impact on them. It breaks my heart when I see a child struggle. I do everything in my power to help them be successful and to feel good about themselves. I have a son who is dyslexic and I had to watch him go through frustrating situations because teachers did not understand what he was going through and didn't know how to help him. I feel for those children. I feel for their parents. Thank goodness, now teachers are getting trained and children are getting the help they so desperately need.
