About
I am an energetic, loving, and goal oriented tutor. I provide extra tools outside of just basic tutoring with things like books, handmade flash cards based on the individuals needs, online practice work, and each of my students have my personal cell for additional questions in emergency situations. I work with each student until their specific goals are met.
I enjoy the reward of the happiness of students and their families to see the improvement they desire. I also enjoy equipping students to do well in their academic endeavors.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process is to first identify the students learning style and assess the areas in which they are struggling. If I am working with a younger individual I like to sit down with the parents and talk about their concerns an the goals they feel they want the student to accomplish. I complete a folder with contact information, allergies because I will sometimes use activities involving food and candies as a teaching tool, initial assessment, and goal sheet.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have successfully completed Math course all the way to Statistics 1 and have been trained by college professors in effective teaching skills.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I do have a standard pricing system as well as family discounts for more than one student. I also have a referral program.
How did you get started teaching?
My grandmother was a teacher for 34 years and my mother has been a professor for 25 years. Teaching is one of the many passions I have and sharing the knowledge I possess give me joy.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students from elementary to college. During my time in Tuscaloosa, Alabama I tutored fellow classmates from The University of Alabama and Shelton State. I have an extreme success rate.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would make sure the tutor is a perfect fit for your needs. The overall bond between a study and a tutor makes the learning process fun which in turn creates success.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
You should think about your goals and areas that you struggle.
