I have taught 3rd grade Reading, Social Studies, Math and Science. I have taught all 1st grade subjects. I substituted throughtout college in grades K-6. I was a SPIRE/Sound Sensible Intervention Teacher where I helped students progess in reading, grammar, and phonics. I am a college graduate and a certified K-6 Elementary Education teacher. I know how to help students identify their needs and learning styles that best suit them. I want to help students feel more confident and knowledgeable in everything they do. I believe in each of my students and I want to help them believe in themselves no matter what.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Always get to know them, their interests, and the best way they learn so I can prepare lessons suited to them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified Elementary K-6 teacher. I've worked with kids since I was 14. I was a substitute for grade levels K-6 for four years and I was a long term substitude in grades 1 and 3 after I graduated in 2017 from Athens State.
How did you get started teaching?
My mother is a teacher and I have always loved helping people since I was a toddler. I have never wanted to do anything else but teach. Teaching for me is getting to help a child believe in themselves and reach their full potential.
What types of students have you worked with?
K-6 graders in all subject areas.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure they teach you the way you learn.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
First, figure out what parts of the lesson you aren't yet understanding, request another strategy to help learn the subject, and explain the best way your learn and comprehend material or lessons.
