I am a high school English and drama teacher. I teach grades 9-12. I also have a Master's degree in English.
I have tutored in a variety of positions including ESL tutoring for the Embassy of Kuwait, Appleton Learning and a community college program called Upward Bound.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I learn as much about the student as I can. But knowing a students strengths, weaknesses, interests and dislikes, I can then form curriculum that best suits the student as an individual. I will also communicate with the parents to get full understanding of the student's needs. I will also obtain their school syllabus in order to anticipate their work schedule to be best prepared for each session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a high school English and drama teacher (as well as prom sponsor and on a committee that offers support to failing students). I taught four years at Elk River Treatment Program, where I daily worked one-on-one with often failing students to improve their grades, learning, and confidence.

$25 per hour. I will work one-three hours per evening.
