Hi! I'm currently a middle school (6-8) Math Teacher at the Valiant Cross Academy! I specialize in not only computation, but conceptual math (especially Algebra and Geometry) as well - this means I know how to break every problem down to its inner core to help you overcome every challenge!
I absolutely love "making sense" out of unfamiliar concepts...algebra is something that comes second nature to me, but I also love the word-problem and logistical side of math as well. Any problems you're having, I will not fail in breaking them down and giving you the tools to accomplish the same!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically like to gauge what specific area a student is struggling with. Then I assess (on a level from 1-5) how comfortable they are with the material. This tells me how I need to approach the session!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree in Mathematics from the University of Montevallo (Dec.2019) as well as 4+ years of independent tutoring and 3 months of Upward Bound ACT test prep tutoring.

Typically charge 30$ a session.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching at one of the greatest liberal arts schools in America - the University of Montevallo! Originally I was on scholarship for Elementary Education, but my love of math led me to gravitate towards that degree.
