About
I belive that everyone has a different learning style, and I strive to give individualized help to each student in order for them to understand and learn. I have tutored many different ages from age five to thirty-five. I have tutored at many differnet levels from elemantary school to college.
I am avaliable to tutor english (writing/editing essays and comprehension), chemistry (high school level), and mathmatics (algebra, algebra II, basic math, college algebra)
I enjoy learning about new students and figuring out the best way to help them succeed. I love when I see a breakthrough and a student finally understands something they have been struggling with and can successfully do it on their own.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I review my students work and start teaching them how I would see fit. If they are not seeming to understand I break things down into more managable steps and use examples that are personal to them so each student can understand. After showing how to do something, we do it together, then the student does it on their own so I can see if they are learning or where I can improve on teaching.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated Sylacauga High School with an Advanced Degree. I attened Central Alabama Community College for three semseters. I attened University of Alabama at Birmingham for three semesters. After University I continued to tutor privately for friends and family.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a teacher that will work with your strengths and weaknessess. Every person is different; therefore, every person learns differently. If you don't learn in a traditional way, that is okay! Find a teacher that will cater to your unique way of learning.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think through all your questions and all the things that make you unique. Talk to your teacher about anything you are comfortable with. The more you you express your individuality, the more your teacher will be able to help you learn.
