What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My process will be to first to try and establish rapport with the student and parent. I will then pull the curriculum from which the lessons are being taught. I will then look at what the teacher has given and the problem with what the student is having. After assesing, I will then lay out a strategic plan to help the students become successful. Goals are set and they will be measured to see effectiveness
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a doctoral student. More specifically, I have a Specialist, two Masters, a Bachelors and an Associate in Arts degrees. I have been a classroom teacher for more than 10 years and love teaching.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing depends on content to be dissimenated, academic level of the student and grade.
How did you get started teaching?
My parents were educators, so I grew up in the school system loving how my teachers taught and mentored me.
What types of students have you worked with?
All kinds from all ethinicities and all academic levels.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
When I helped this kid during the pandemic to reach his goal relative to getting him back on track so that he may pass.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
If you want someone that is caring, knowledgable, patient, driven, will stick with you to the end and humble, I am the guy to teach you.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Their commitment to learning.
