What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I find out what the student wants to accomplish.
I work personally with the student to find out what help they need.
I develop a plan and work with the student to accomplish the goal.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Certified teacher in 4 areas and 2 states (Alabama & Oklahoma). Areas of certification include elementary education, business education and marketing, career and business technology, and library/media specialist.
Master's degree Library & Information Sciences, Bachelor's degree Human Services Management, and Associates degree Accounting.
18 years experience in primary and post secondary education.

I charge $25 an hour. Computer instruction to get the student comfortable online is always included.
How did you get started teaching?
I needed a change in careers and wanted to do something that makes a difference leading me into education and I love it. I was an accountant and large operations manager for many years. I know what is needed for students in their education and understand what is required for success.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all kinds of adults and children. I also specialize in health care math and dosage calculations.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be careful not to use an instructor rigid about how you do things.
