Addison, M.P.A., M.Ed.
About
Hi there! My name is Addison, and I’m a passionate educator with three earned degrees and currently pursuing my fourth—a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Arkansas. I hold a graduate degree in Literacy, which means I specialize in helping students develop stronger reading, writing, and comprehension skills with clarity and confidence.
Before starting my doctoral studies, I taught 8th-grade English Language Arts for two years, where I also served as Department Chair. That classroom experience shaped my understanding of how students learn best and inspired me to pursue advanced study to hone my craft in teaching reading and writing.
At 30, I bring both experience and energy to every session. My approach blends patience, encouragement, and research-based strategies to meet each student where they are and help them grow. Whether we’re unpacking a complex text, building a persuasive essay, or rediscovering a love of reading, my goal is to make every tutoring session engaging, effective, and confidence-building.
Let’s work together to help you reach your goals—and enjoy the process along the way!
