My name is Madison. I am currently a D1 student at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in NYC. I was a member of Maggie L. Walker Governor School’s (Ranked the 10th best public high school nationwide) Class of 2015 and went on to attend the University of Virginia. After graduating in University of Virginia's Class of 2019, I will be attending Columbia Dental School in August.
At the University of Virginia, I was the founder and professor of an official UVA class that UVA students could take for credit. The class, ENGR 1501: Introduction to Logic Puzzles, is a very popular class and consistently gains full enrollment within the first week class registration opens. I have heard that my teaching style is very informative and easy to understand, and that I convey my love for the subject matter very easily. Using my two years of experience teaching and refining the course, I published the book: A Guide to Logic Puzzles. I love teaching and helping others, and would love to be your tutor!
I have a vast teaching experience and have been a tutor for the past four years. I love teaching difficult subjects like logic puzzles and the SAT, and I pride myself in being very approachable and adaptable. I enjoy finding just the right way to teach a student so that the material clicks. I specialize in teaching all subjects on the SAT. I studied for about two months while only studying on the weekends for the SAT. For my DAT, I spent 1.5 months studying while volunteering on weekdays. My SAT score when I applied to college is a 2330 (99.7th percentile, equivalent to roughly a 1553 on the new SAT). My Dental Admissions Test (DAT) score is a 26 (99.9th percentile). I am very efficient with my study habits because I know exactly what standardized tests are looking for! I will make every hour of tutoring worth your time.
